I arrived in Dec 1952 was sent by mistake up to the 40th Inf. Div. 223 Reg. After 6 days I was told that because of my Railroad background that (I had been an apprentice Machinist for the B&O in Chicago at 14th and Damen roundhouse) I was being transferred to 3rd. TMRS and from there to the 765th. I was assigned to "A" company Diesel shop. I served there until March of 1954.
